At our annual conference in Sheffield on 18 November, churches and projects shared stories of how they are listening to voices from the margins of society – and we talked about how we can truly become a ‘church of the poor’. This week we’re sharing some of the stories we heard. Today: Timebuilders.
Based at St Mary’s Centre where we held our conference, Timebuilders is Sheffield’s innovative time-banking initiative. They have hubs of projects and activities all over Sheffield, based upon the ideas and energy of volunteers.
Using time-credits to make networks of friends who do the work needed to make people and communities stronger.
In this video, people talk about the difference Timebuilders has made in their lives.
