Ladies Who Lunch while Britain isn’t Eating

britainisnteatingOne of our community projects has produced a fun video to support Church Action on Poverty’s campaign against the relentless rise of food poverty.

Over the past year, we have been running a School of Participation with people on low incomes in Salford, who are concerned about the stigma and shame attached to living in poverty.

As well as challenging prejudice with events and their own blog, they decided to produce some videos to spread the word about food poverty, one of the worst problems facing people on low incomes today.

Working with community film-maker Glyn Treharne, they have made two films – ‘Please Sir, I want some more’, and now ‘Ladies Who Lunch’:
