Closing the Gap in Glasgow

GlasgowThis autumn sees the launch of an exciting new partnership between the Iona Community, Church Action on Poverty, Christian Aid Scotland, the Poverty Truth Commission and others – seeking to find ways to ‘close the gap’ between rich and poor in Glasgow, and more widely across the UK.

The ‘Close the Gap’ programme will see to demonstrate that by mobilising churches, grassroots groups and others to take effective and focused action, it is possible to achieve significant institutional change which will contribute to narrowing the gap between rich and poor in Scotland.

Kenny McBride has been employed as the Project worker, 3 days a week for the next 12 months.
